Tucked away around the corner of the square is Freak Street, a famous walkway lined with traditional houses that used to be haven for hippies in the 60s and 70s. Durbar Square still remains intact despite the earthquake in 2015 with renovation work taking place in the damaged ones. The Durbar Square has now been opened for public and tourists
